Energy-saving electric kettle Miito startups presented in Berlin. The developers believe that ordinary electric kettles are useless, so every year a person seeks to find for the same purpose for something more stable and comfortable. Miito – the most compact and stylish system. Since it is possible to heat the liquid in any capacity, so Miito will not only make tea or coffee, but also warm the dinner plate.
At the heart of Miito – an induction heating system. The device consists of two parts – a metal base and a small base induction. Place a container with liquid on the base, lower the rod into the liquid on the stand, which acts as tena. For heating in Miito fit any non-metallic containers – cups, mugs, glasses, pots, plates. You heat only as much liquid as necessary, thereby saving energy and getting more value from the beverage.
Traditional electric kettles have one serious drawback: they need to be filled at least up to the level specified by the manufacturer. Often, seeing that the water in the kettle is not enough, you simply top up to the liquid. But we all know that many times boiled water does not bring much good. Also on the walls of the kettle accumulated scum, which affect the taste and quality of water. According to Leila Akaroglu (Leyla Acaroglu), a member of the development team Miito, energy saved in one day due to the replacement of traditional teapots start-product would be enough to illuminate all the streets of England for one night.
The efficiency of the induction device is slightly lower than the average pot: first the efficiency is 80-90%, depending on the selected fluid and dishes, the second – a little more than 90%. To start Miito into production startups launched a campaign on Kickstarter, and the required amount of 150 thousand pounds were collected for 38 hours. At the time of writing the material investments exceeded 281,000 pounds; first Miito startups promise to put investors in April 2016.
