Chinese smartphones are the most excellent devices in terms of price and quality. However, many Chinese smartphones do not have Google Play. If you bought smartphone in China and it does not have Google Play, do not worry, you can install Google Play and other Google services yourself.
Chinese manufacturers do not use Google services on smartphones. Typically, they use Chinese services, which we have not even heard. But some devices have an international version of the software that include Google Play.
Install Google Play
You can easily install Google services on Chinese smartphone. The installation method may be different from the brand smartphone, but in general the instruction is very similar. We will install Google Play on Xiaomi smartphone with software MIUI.
First, let’s look for application that will help us to install Google Play. All Chinese smartphones usually have a manufacturer’s application store. Enter Chinese app store and search for “google installer”. If you do not find anything, then try searching through a search engine Baidu.
Usually its icon is something like the logo of Google Play. If you are not sure just install and test.
After installing the app you need to open it. Then you can see colored circles. Click blue circle with Chinese symbols in the middle. I guess it says something like “install”.
You will be asked for permission to perform installations and several APKs that must be installed such as calendar, contact manager, Google services and Google Play.
After all applications will be installed you just have to register with your Gmail account to access Google Play.
Problems with install Google Play
If the installation of some packages will be interrupted then you must install APK again. To do this go to the default file browser and find APK file. Tap on file and grant permissions to install.
